Collection: Wrasse

Wrasses are colorful, active marine fish belonging to the family Labridae, commonly found in tropical and subtropical reef environments. Known for their elongated bodies and vibrant patterns, wrasses are popular in saltwater aquariums for both their beauty and utility.

Many species, such as the Six-Line Wrasse and Melanurus Wrasse, help control pests like flatworms and bristle worms. Wrasses are generally hardy and adapt well to captivity, though some can be territorial or may jump if startled. They require a covered tank, plenty of rockwork for hiding, and a sandy substrate for species that bury themselves at night. With their constant movement and engaging behavior, wrasses make lively and beneficial additions to reef and community aquariums.
