Collection: Blenny

Blennies are small, elongated marine fish belonging to the suborder Blennioidei, found in coastal and reef environments throughout tropical and temperate oceans. Characterized by their slender bodies, blunt heads, and continuous dorsal fins, blennies often display cryptic coloration that helps them blend into rocky crevices, coral rubble, and seaweed beds. Most species are benthic, spending much of their time close to the substrate, where they feed on algae, small invertebrates, or detritus, depending on the species.

Some blennies are known for their territorial behavior and for using burrows or holes as shelter. Their adaptability, interesting behavior, and manageable size have made certain species popular in marine aquariums. Blennies also play an important ecological role in reef systems by controlling algal growth and contributing to the overall balance of reef habitats.
