Collection: Clownfish

Clownfish are small, vibrantly colored marine fish classified under the family Pomacentridae. They are best known for their symbiotic association with sea anemones, gaining protection among the anemones’ stinging tentacles while providing cleaning services and food lures in return.

Typically, clownfish exhibit an orange body with distinct white bands, although selective breeding has produced a wide array of color variations. Native to the warm, shallow waters of the Indian and Pacific Oceans, particularly the Great Barrier Reef, clownfish display protandrous hermaphroditism, wherein all individuals are born male and may transition to female under specific social conditions. Their striking appearance, intriguing behaviors, and adaptability have made them a favored choice among marine aquarium enthusiasts.
