Collection: Butterfly Fish

Butterflyfish are small, brightly colored marine fish belonging to the family Chaetodontidae. They are known for their thin, disk-shaped bodies and striking patterns, often featuring bold bands, spots, or eye-like markings.

Butterflyfish inhabit warm tropical waters, especially coral reefs in the Atlantic, Indian, and Pacific Oceans. They are mostly diurnal, actively swimming in pairs or small groups during the day and hiding among coral at night. Many butterflyfish feed on coral polyps, algae, and small invertebrates, using their narrow snouts to reach into crevices. Their vibrant appearance, graceful swimming, and delicate behavior make butterflyfish important reef inhabitants and popular choices for marine aquariums.
