Collection: Tang

Tangs, also known as surgeonfish, are active and brightly colored marine fish belonging to the family Acanthuridae. They are easily recognized by their oval-shaped bodies and sharp, scalpel-like spines near the tail, which are used for defense.

Popular species such as the Yellow Tang, Blue Tang, and Black Tang are commonly kept in saltwater aquariums for their vibrant appearance and algae-grazing habits. Tangs require large, well-oxygenated aquariums with ample swimming space and plenty of live rock for grazing. While generally peaceful, they can become territorial toward other tangs or similarly shaped fish. With proper care and a stable environment, tangs are highly valued for their beauty, utility, and engaging behavior in reef and community tanks.
